Bunker Song

My hair was thick and I was thin

and Miami Vice was in.

Now and then the Leafs would win --

those were the days.

The war was cold but not the clothes,

women still wore pantyhose.

These days suck but those days, those,

those were the days.

My buds and me would binge and bang

our heads in bars all night and dang,

we sure could use more songs like The Police

and Foreigner sang.

We won the war but lost our way,

how it happened who can say.

Oh well here's to yesterday.

Those were the days.

I wish I was nostalgic for

a long lost home, a won world war.

I was handed everything a guy could want

but want more.

Something to believe in and

neighbours you could understand.

Gee our Sunday roast was bland --

those were the days.
